HR - MC Training & Assessments
It is critical to choose your training provider carefully!!!
Minimum standard training and inexperienced trainers are a genuine problem in the training industry in general.
Things to think about when selecting a training provider:
You should expect/receive:
Consistent and quality interaction from staff
Quality training information
Videos and training manuals
They should have a good reputation for quality training and reliable safe gear
Confirmation on the total amount of hours training and a breakdown of such
Does the eye site and Theory test come out of that time
Do they use their own equipment or rent it?
Is the trip to the rental yard in the LV part of your HV training hours
We recommend you take notes on your training times in case of dispute.
Start times & content (i.e theory: 6:30-7, prestart from 7-8, drive 8-9, reverse 9-9:30 etc)
Remember:
Google reviews can be purchased or encouraged with cash back options for a 5* reviews, read the poor reviews and see how the response is worded, if its formulated well and has a reasonable answer that will give you confidence.
Your trainer may also be your assessor
Make sure you feel confident will pass your assessment before you sit it!
It is better to defer your assessment and do more training than waste your assessment costs, check if this option is available and the wait times if you defer/fail for the next training session.
If you are unhappy with your trainer/training/ they are not explaining things in a way that suits you, say something early on to give them the opportunity to change their approach, don’t wait to the end of your training then voice that you are not happy as it makes it look like your salty you are not competent, not that you needed more help or a different approach.
